In early November, a key piece of legislation authorizing the creation
of the BeltLine Zoning Overlay was introduced by City Council.This
legislation creates the regulatory framework and design standards that
will provide guidance to developers and planners as the enormous
project is implemented.

While this vote does not include land in Lake Claire directly, it does
cover the nearby areas of Morningside, Inman Park, Piedmont Park, and
areas north and south of each.

During December and January, the City Planning Department has been
meeting with Neighborhood Planning Units to explain the Zoning Overlay
and solicit feedback.The public input process includes a public
hearing on Thursday, January 25th at 6PM. The hearing will be held in
the Council Chamber on the Second Floor of City Hall at 55 Trinity
Avenue, SW , Atlanta , GA  30303.
