LCN received
the following crime alert notice on Tuesday February 28, 2006 from the
Candler Park Neighborhood Association. Please be
aware of these events, be careful, and report any suspicious activity:
There was a series of burglaries/attempted burglaries around 2:30 am this
morning on Callan Circle, Glendale, Shepherd Pl, Iverson and/or Oakdale.
Police think at least 3 of these burglaries are by the same person. He is
a black male, medium height, little or no facial hair, who busted the
door in one home and broke a window in another. People were home asleep.
Appears to be looking for money and small items.

Recycle your old electronics
Electronic Recycling Day will be on March 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
DeKalb residents can bring old microwaves, cell phones, stereos, alarm
clocks, computers and other electronic equipment to the Tom Scott Bldg.
