[LCN Newscast] Approved request to city at 2/16 LCNA meeting

Dear neighbors,

Lake Claire Neighbors has made an official request to the City Traffic
Engineering Department for the following:

1) a traffic study to assess vehicular safety of the intersections at
McClendon & Arizona Avenue and McClendon & Connecticut / Ridgewood
Avenues

2) an evaluation of the need for a mid-block pedestrian crossing
between Lakeshore Drive and Ivy Place

This request was made based on the concerns expressed by residents
about the high rates of speed on McLendon, poor visibility turning
onto McLendon, and pedestrian safety for people walking to the park.

Please attend Lake Claire Neighbors meetings the third Thursday of
