[LCN Newscast] Change of LCN Webmaster

LCN's Newscast List Members:

It has been a pleasure to act as Lake Claire Neighbors'
webmaster since 1999.  Yet it seems it is time for a change.
Within the next few days I shall be transitioning the various
tasks of web and e-mail maintenance to Randy Byrd.  No e-mails
sent to the webmaster address in the next few days are likely
to get lost, though.

The website itself has changed little recently, apart from
special notices for the Tour of Homes and contact info.  But I
hope my releasing of accurate, informative, and reasonably
frequent Newscasts has provided some compensation for the lack
of variety on the website.  Since beginning "Newscast" I have
been the only one posting items, although the content of the
messages usually came from other officers or neighbors.  This
is my last Newscast.

For your information, I have included below two general
administrative notices about the Newscast system.  The first
is about archived Newscast postings.  The second explains how
to remove or add yourself to the list.

Archived Announcements Available

In case you are unaware, archives are available of all previous
Newscast announcements.

If you want to read a gardening tip or safety notice that you
may have deleted from your e-mail box, just go to:

http://lists.lakeclaire.org/pipermail/newscast/

Announcements are grouped by annual quarters (i.e. "2003q3"
covers July thro' September of 2003) and go back to 2001 Jan 15.

How to Unsubscribe to Newscast

Moved?  Switching e-mail accounts?  For privacy reasons, Lake
Claire's website managers do not subscribe anyone to or
unsubscribe anyone from the Newscast list.  However, below are
directions so that you can remove yourself from the list at any
time you wish.


If you know your Newscast password:

1) Go to http://lists.lakeclaire.org/mailman/listinfo/newscast
2) Near the bottom of the page, enter your e-mail address (the
   one that receives Newscast messages) in the dialog box next
   to the "Edit Options" button.
3) Click on the "Edit Options" button.
4) Enter your Newscast password in the dialog box next to the
   "Unsubscribe" button.
5) Click the "Unsubscribe" button.
6) A message should display on your web browser: "Newscast
   Unsubscribe Results / You have been unsubscribed."
7) You are done!


If you DO NOT know your Newscast password:

1) Go to http://lists.lakeclaire.org/mailman/listinfo/newscast
2) Near the bottom of the page, enter your e-mail address (the
   one that receives Newscast messages) in the dialog box next
   to the "Edit Options" button.
3) Click on the "Edit Options" button.
4) Click the "Email My Password To Me" button.
5) After a few minutes, check your e-mail for a message
   containing your password.
6) Follow the first set of instructions at the top of this
   notice.


If you have unsubscribed, and wish to resubscribe in the future,
just go to http://lists.lakeclaire.org/mailman/listinfo/newscast
and sign up again.
