Two letters regarding 591, 595 and 601 Harold Avenue:

---------------------------------

April 20, 2005

Dear Lake Claire Neighbors,

I want to provide you with information regarding two important
upcoming events -- one in Lake Claire, and the other in District
5 at large.

First, I am pleased to announce that the real estate closing for
the acquisition of the properties at 591, 595 and 601 Harold
Avenue is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, 2005.

I particularly want to thank Dan White and Kathy Evans for their
dedication and perseverance in working with the City (for over a
year) to ensure that this much desired result became a reality.

In acknowledgement of this important event, I would like to work
with the Lake Claire Neighborhood Association to coordinate a
commemoration -- and celebration -- of this new greenspace
addition to the community.

Since I would like to host this event during the month of May,
please forward your ideas and suggestions to me, no later than
April 30, 2005.

Second, the Fourth Annual District 5 Tire Round-Up will occur
this Saturday, April 23, 2005. Each year, in honor of Earth Day,
I provide this event as a means of helping rid our community of
illegally dumped tires. We will accept tires from District 5
communities from 9am until noon and I will share the location of
the tire drop-off shortly. I look forward to seeing you there!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please call my
office at 404-330-6048.

Sincerely,
Natalyn Mosby Archibong
Atlanta City Council
District 5

To: Natalyn Mosby Archibong
Councilmember
District 5
City of Atlanta

Dear Natalyn,

On behalf of the residents of Lake Claire I would like to thank
you and your entire staff for the all your efforts in acquiring
the tract of land on Harold Avenue as green space to be
protected and preserved forever. Our two year struggle to stop
inappropriate development has culminated in an outcome no one
even thought to consider at the outset of this process.

The dedicated efforts of neighborhood residents working closely
with you and your staff have saved all the mature hardwood trees
as well as safeguarded the spring fed stream that originates on
that site. The possibilities to demonstrate low cost storm water
management techniques, the possible creation a living laboratory
for the planting of native flowers and shrubs, and the
preservation of the Frazer Forest corridor to Harold Avenue are
immediate and potential achievements we can all celebrate.

We in Lake Claire look forward to future collaboration with you
on similar efforts within district 5.

Thank you.

Dan White, President
Lake Claire Neighbors
