Appeals Court Judge Runoff (2004 Nov 23)

- Debra Bernes 131,941
- Howard Mead 112,026

(Note: Only about 7% of those eligible voted in the runoff
election.)


Electoral College (2004 Dec 13)

All 15 Georgia electors, selected on Nov 02, voted for
Bush/Cheney as pledged.  The electoral vote is scheduled to be
counted and certified at a joint session of Congress on 2005 Jan
06.  The national totals are:

President
- George W. Bush 286
- John Kerry 251
- John Edwards 1

Vice President
- Richard Cheney 286
- John Edwards 252

(Note:  An unknown Minnesota elector, presumably by accident,
voted for John Edwards in both of the state's separate
Presidential and Vice Presidential secret ballots.  It may be
unconstitutional for an elector to vote for the same person for
both offices.  Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution
forbids it, while Amendment 12 neither specifically allows nor
forbids it.)
