A Notice from our V.P. of Public Safety, Carol Mercer. . .

V.P. of Public Safety: Office Open for 2005

I shall not seek re-election for 2005.  I invite members of Lake
Claire Neighbors to consider serving in this important elected
volunteer office.

The V.P. of Public Safety job includes compiling the crime
statistics to report in the newsletter.  They are delivered via
email from Zone 6.   I also serve as a liaison between Zone 6/APD
and the neighborhood.  I attend the Citizens Advisory Committee
meetings each quarter, try to attend the Claire Drive block watch
meetings each quarter (the food is great, thanks Deborah), and go
to as many LCN General and Executive Committee meetings as I can.
I also organize the security patrol and write the occasional
article for the newsletter.

After four great years I feel it is time to retire and let
someone else act as chief LCN Crime Dog.  It has been a lot of
fun and I have made many new friends.  But I hope to make some
major career changes next year and may not have the time that I
do now.  I will be glad to help my replacement and to attend
meetings jointly until he/she gets to meet everyone. If you would
