On 2004 October 09 Saturday from 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. our
neighborhood presents "The Taste of Lake Claire: Tour of Homes
2004."  There will be ten wonderful homes to visit, each with
food samples from ten great restaurants and caterers.

The houses which range from classic to contemporary, from cozy to
grand include Chester Old and Steven Bennett (410 Lakeshore),
Kristin and Scott Chapman (300 Gordon), Michelle and Mark Bell
(2115 Palifox), Alan Robbins and Jan Clausen (1933 McLendon),
Michael Lyman and Cathy Amoroso (1728 Harriett), Kristy and Nabil
Hammam (277 Matthews), Dave Hinman (Laurel Hill B & B 1992/98
McLendon), John Swann (1984 McLendon), and the Arizona Avenue
Community Co-housing.

Tickets will be $20 and can be purchased with cash/check at Donna
Van Gogh's at 1651 McLendon Avenue.  (We are also trying to
establish on-line purchasing with a credit card--we will provide
more information if this works out.)

Proceeds will go to various neighborhood projects and the Clifton
Sanctuary Ministries which has been helping homeless men since
1979.  Located at 369 Connecticut Avenue the "church" will be
open for its own tour, is the main ticket sales venue, and will
offer parking and bathrooms.

Our generous sponsors include Hammersmith, Ken Price, The ZAC
Team, Sawhorse, Maya Hahn, Candler Park Market, Small Carpenters
at Large, Hammerhead Custom Carpentry, Sherry Nemeth, Niki Paris,
Chris Christian and Michael Lewis.

Our food donors confirmed as of this date include Sun In The
Belly Caterers, Dish, The Flying Biscuit, Osteria, and Vine.
Please make plans to visit these restaurants and thank them for
their terrific community outreach!

Many volunteers will be needed to assist with signs, posters,

2004 Candler Park Tour of Homes

The Candler Park Tour of Homes is back!  The Tour of Homes will
be held on 2004 October 16 Saturday from noon to 6:00 p.m.
