500 Hardendorf Ave NE - 7/18 (2300) to 7/19 (1630) Attempt- 1999
Chevrolet, Suburban, gold; vehicle had been broken into; the
drivers side window and steering column were damaged.
Fingerprints were dusted for but none recovered.

500 Lakeshore Dr NE -7/21 (2200) to 7/22 (0815) Prints recovered.
1997 Nissan Frontier black in color. Property owner states
someone broke in to his car and his wife’s car; his driver side
window was broken and some change and CD’s were taken.

500 Lakeshore Dr NE -7/21 (2000) to 7/22 (0600) Tenant of
property owner above; 2000 Ford Excursion maroon in color.
Camera, cash taken.

2000 McLendon Ave NE -7/21 (2200) to 7/22 (0730)2004 Ford
Explorer silver in color; someone broke passenger side window and
took the cell phone out of the vehicle. Prints were attempted,
none recovered.

2000 McLendon Ave NE -7/21 (2200) to 7/22 (0700) Change, credit
cards taken. Prints turned in to ID; took a purse and another bag
that were in the car. The bag and wallet were left in the
driveway with the money and cards missing. A screwdriver was
found in the car that the suspect used to get in the vehicle.

2000 McLendon Ave NE -7/21 (2030) to 7/22 (0900)Change from
console taken. Victim did not want car dusted for prints. 2003
Honda Pilot silver in color.

2000 McLendon Ave NE -7/22 (0130 - 0645)$0.50 cents. Door
unlocked. No prints located.1995 Honda Accord light blue in
color.

2000 McLendon Ave NE - Beat 602 - 8/4 (0835 - 0845)Weed eater-
victim was working on a yard at the above location with his truck
parked along the curb, when a driver of a white van stole his
weed eater that was sitting in the bed of the truck; victim
stated that he followed the white van containing the suspect and
was able to get the tag number. 1993 Nissan Flatbed, red. (tools
taken from truck while owner was away from truck)

8/2/04 Flasher in Lake Claire Pk, around 9am; walked through the
park in the nude, with a pair of underwear on his head; police
were called; did not apprehend suspect.


NOTE: Both Candler Park and Lake Claire have had instances where
contractors have left their trucks unlocked and tools are stolen;
sheds/garages/basements are still being broken into; bikes stolen
from balconies and porches. DO NOT leave anything of value in
your car if it is parked on the street. Is it worth all the
trouble with insurance claims etc. when the perp takes 50¢ or
$3.00 and breaks a window?
