The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works will need to close
McLendon Avenue at Candler Park Drive beginning 2004 August 02
Monday - August 06 Friday.

Work being done is in association with the McLendon Avenue
Traffic Calming Project.  This project includes installation of
new sidewalks, bulb outs, road resurfacing, and landscaping.
As part of the construction, the City will be placing a 4 foot
concrete median near Candler Park Drive and a roundabout near
Howard Circle.  The work near Howard Circle will also require a
temporary closure at the intersection of Howard Circle and
McLendon Avenue that will take place in late August to early
September 2004.


Detour Route for McLendon at Candler Park Drive:

+ East Bound
 - Right on Candler Park Drive
 - Left on Iverson Street
 - Left on Mell Avenue

+ West Bound
 - Right on Candler Park Drive
 - Left on Miller Avenue
 - Left on Oakdale Road
