Clifton Sanctuary Ministries is a nonprofit organization
providing housing and a range of services to homeless men.
Located at the former Clifton Presbyterian Church in Lake Claire
at the corner of McClendon and Connecticut the ministry includes
Night Hospitality, an emergency shelter for homeless men who are
elderly, sick or disabled, and Joe's Place, a transition house
for men leaving the shelter. In addition to shelter, we provide
hot meals, showers, a clothes closet, counseling, and more.
As a church ministry, Night Hospitality was established in the
church at the current location in the fall of 1979. Clifton
Presbyterian Church, the shelter, and the Lake Claire
Neighborhood have enjoyed a mutually supportive relationship for
over 25 years. The first meetings of the Lake Claire Neighbors
were held at the Church in the early 1970s.
Clifton Sanctuary Ministries is a nonprofit corporation.
Donations may be tax-exempt to the full extent of the law.
