MARTA Announces Public Hearings on
Proposed Bus Service Modifications
2004 Apr 14-16, Various Locations
Lake Claire's #3 Bus Line is at risk for a "Major Modification":
3-Auburn/MLK
Weekday: - No service past Candler Park (to be served by Rt.
123), Frequency: 30, Hours of Service: 4:33am - 1:38am
Customers on Palifox will be able to catch the 123-
Decatur/Candler Park on McLendon at Palifox which is
approximately a block away going to the Candler Park Station.
There will be an additional 8 minutes between peak buses and
service will end 45 minutes earlier at night.
Saturday: - No service past Candler Park (to be served by Rt.
123), Hours of Service: 5:42am - 1:36am
Customers on Palifox will be able to catch the 123-
Decatur/Candler Park on McLendon at Palifox which is
approximately a block away going to the Candler Park Station.
Also service will begin 1 hour, 10 minutes later in the morning
and run 15 minutes longer at night.
Sunday: - Hours of Service: 5:45am - 12:22am
Service will begin 45 minutes later in the morning.
Many other bus lines have proposed changes.
Whether you are against changes to various bus lines, in favor of
changes, or just want to learn more, these hearings are your
chance to get involved.

Due to the scope of the proposed bus service adjustments, MARTA
will be holding Community Exchange meetings from 2 P.M. to 6:30
P.M.* at each Public Hearing location. This is an opportunity to
learn more about the proposed modifications and see how proposed
new service will work for you. We hope to see you at one of these
meetings. (*Decatur's Community Exchange will begin at 3 P.M.
due to scheduling conflicts.)
