There is no beat book to read due to budget cuts. We do
not know if the book will be restarted. Please, if you are
the victim of a crime/know about one, please email me at
safety@lakeclaire.org . Continue to call 911 to report all
crimes. I do know of the following, but have few details.

300 Connecticut Resident. Burglary, victim 9/03/03
was in the house at time of break-in
200 Conn. Resident. burglary, items taken 9/06/03

200 Mathews Resident. Burglary 9/06/03
2000 McLendon Resident. Burglary 9/03/03
500 Hardendorf Attempted resident. Burglary, 9/03/03
perp tried to break-in at 4am, wore a ski mask, home
owner's car was in the drive next to the window used
to try and enter

Looks like the same guy may be responsible for the break-
ins on Connecticut, Mathews, McLendon and Hampton and the
attempted break-in on Hardendorf. There were also break-
ins on Iverson St and Sheppard Place in CPk that seemed to
have the same MO. Please be careful and lock your house,
especially windows and basement doors.
