A pack of dogs has been plaguing Inman Park for the last 6+
months and has been moving toward Lake Claire. This pack of 8
is now a pack of 4 as Fulton Co has captured 4 of the dogs. Of
the 4 remaining dogs, two are wild and do not have collars,
the other two are considered part-timers. They have killed at
least 23 cats, attacked and bit a man walking a dog, and
attacked a mailman. There are at least 12 near attacks, mainly
of women walking dogs, or women alone walking/running, however
they have also threatened children.

The 2 primary pack members, no collars, are:
- a black lab about 85 lbs., short hair, and
- a 70 lb. long hair black dog that looks chow-like but is
    part border collie/lab.

The part timers, both medium build, look like labs or mix, have
collars:
- one is black, and
- the other tan/brown

They have been seen in Inman Park, VH, Poncey Highlands, and
Candler Park. They have been moving east toward our area,
especially after the capture of their "buds." The dogs are
most active between 7-10am and 6:30-9:pm, in and around the
bike trails in Freedom Park and Candler Park such as Oakdale,
North, Euclid. The latest sighting 7/21 at 7:30am at
Moreland/North/Freedom Park.

If you see these animals please call either Fulton
(404-794-0358) or DeKalb (404-294-2996) Animal Control.
If the dogs threaten you, call 911. Zone 6 is aware of the
problem. Steve Ball, VP of Public Safety of Inman Park, is
the liaison in this situation, please let him know the
'where's and 'when's of the sightings by calling 404-606-1521.

Please be aware and alert. If you have them carry pepper
spray and a cell phone.
