Hello to SCALE members and other concerned citizens!
I have had my ear to the ground and I am hearing from all
quarters that Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) has a number of
properties for sale and really is not too attached to
Sembler being the buyer of the Moreland site. What they
ARE concerned about, I am told, is negative publicity and
public perception that they are not doing the right thing
by their neighbors (and as I see it they are not.) Thus
more than one person has strongly advised that we focus our
efforts on writing to the Board of Directors at AGL
Resources--and that we do so RIGHT NOW. So I am listing
below the names of all 10 members of this Board. Please
write a page or two if you haven't done so already. And
even if you have, please make 10 more copies and address
them individually to the following folks. Although you
could ideally look up addresses for each of the businesses
the members are otherwise affiliated with, the address for
AGL is:
AGL Resources
817 West Peachtree Street
Atlanta, GA 30308
The ladies and gentlemen of the board are:
1. Paula G. Roseput, Chairman,
President and CEO of AGL Resources
2. Otis A. Brumby, Jr.,
Chair and CEO of the Marietta Daily Journal
3. Robert S. Jepson, Jr.,
Chair and CEO of Jepson Associates, Inc.
4. Arthur E. Johnson,
Senior Vice President, Lockheed Martin Corp.
5. Wyck A. Knox, Partner at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP
6. Dennis M. Love, President, Printpack Inc.
7. Karen R. Osar,
Senior VP and CFO of Meadwestvaco Corporation)
8. D. Raymond Riddle,
Ret. Chairman and CEO, Nat'l Service Industries, Inc.
9. James A. Rubright, Chair and CEO, Rock-Tenn Company
10. Felker W. Ward, Jr.,
Chairman, Pinnacle Investment Advisors, Inc.

...with the humble observation that this thing is TOO BIG!
