[LCN Newscast] McLendon Ave. Study Meetings, Sept. 16th & 19th

The preliminary drawings for the McLendon Avenue traffic calming
and repaving project have been completed by the transportation
engineering firm URS, Inc.  These drawings are the direct result
of the June 26th meeting of City officials and Lake Claire,
Candler Park, URS, and Mary Lin representatives.

On 2002 Sep 16 Monday 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Epworth Methodist Church's
education building, these plans will be available for public
review.

During the Lake Claire Neighbors September general meeting
(2002 Sep 19 Thursday 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Frazer Center "atrium")
the plans will be presented to the neighborhood.  A vote to
recommend that URS proceed to the next design state is expected.

Please tell friends and neighbors who do not use the Internet on
a regular basis about these two opportunities to view and
comment on the preliminary drawings.
