[LCN Newscast] Xcom Meeting, May 28

Due to the Memorial Day Holiday, the next Lake Claire
Neighbors Executive Committee Meeting will be postponed
one day until Monday, May 28.  As usual we will meet
at Epworth Church's education building at 7 p.m.

Due to an oversight, a notice about a motion to donate
funds to the Mary Lin PTA for their playground project
was not included in the May newsletter.  Because of this,
procedurally, a vote could not be taken on the issue
at the May meeting.  As a compromise measure, because
the PTA has a June deadline for this money, the membership
voted unanimously to authorize the Executive Committee
(Xcom) to appropriate up to $600 dollars to the cause
based on the committee's assessment of our financial
condition.  This will be the first item on the May 28
Xcom agenda.  If any member of Lake Claire Neighbors
would like to speak either for or against the
appropriation, he may attend the meeting.  Voting at
Xcom meetings is by elected officer's only.
