[LCN Newscast] 2002 City Budget Hearing, Feb 12

FYI:

The City of Atlanta Public Hearing for the 2002 Budget
will be held Tuesday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the
Council Chambers.  55 Trinity Street, between Mitchell
and Trinity Street, across from the Capitol.

The city currently has a budget gap of $82 million.

Proposed budgets of most departments are being cut from
last year's levels, including Planning, Parks, Fire,
Police, and the Mayor's Office.  These are not across-
the-board cuts, some are minor, others are major.
