A proposal to reword Article V of the Lake Claire Bylaws will
be voted on at the February general meeting.

- Current Bylaws read: -

ARTICLE V: Membership Qualifications

Any person of voting age who resides, owns property in, owns
a business in, or operates a business in the Lake Claire
neighborhood is eligible for membership in the organization and
is thereby entitled to one vote at the organization's meetings. 

- Suggested Revision of Bylaws: -

ARTICLE V: Membership & Voting Qualifications 

Any person of voting age who resides, owns property, or owns
a business in the Lake Claire neighborhood is considered a
"de facto" member of the organization. Members are entitled
to one vote on all motions at the organization's general
meetings except for motions that are recommendations to NPU-N.
Members are entitled to one vote on NPU recommendations
provided they have
 
*  attended 2 general meetings in the past 12 months, or 
*  attended 1 meeting in the past 12 months and whose dues
   are current, or
*  attended 1 meeting in the past 12 months and contributed
   2 hours of community service to Lake Claire.
